From yesterday, lovers of the world of biomass, and operators in the sector, are all at "Progetto Fuoco" to discover the latest in technology in wood and pellet heating systems that are alternatives to sky-high gas and, above all, renewable and eco-sustainable.

Research and innovation are at the heart of this new edition of "Progetto Fuoco", the world's most important event dedicated to biomass heating, promoted by Piemmeti and scheduled from 4 to 7 May at the Verona Exhibition Centre, with more than 800 brands present and over 60 thousand visitors expected.

"Biomass heating is a market in constant innovation. It is a renewable, economical and safe energy, capable of responding to the recent spike in consumer interest." - commented Raul Barbieri, general manager of Piemmeti. "Progetto Fuoco 2022 will focus on the themes of innovation and sustainability, and what is expected to be a great edition: we expect around 60,000 visitors, of which at least 15,000 from abroad, while we will have 800 exhibitors."

From stoves to fireplaces, boilers, barbecues and wood and pellet-fuelled cookers: in the front line at Progetto Fuoco, alongside large companies, there will be young innovators and start-ups. There will also be conventions, workshops and practical demonstrations in 7 pavilions of the Verona Exhibition Centre, covering an exhibition area of 130 thousand square metres.

The startups will find their place in the Innovation Village, a "future showroom" that will host the best Italian startups, and in the second edition of "Give Me Fire - Progetto Fuoco Startup Award", the challenge promoted by Progetto Fuoco, Blum and AIEL that will see numerous innovative companies present their technological products in the biomass heating sector.

The startups will compete in two rounds of pitches, short presentations in which they will have to demonstrate the validity of their product and answer the questions of the jury and the audience in a quick and brilliant way.

The event will also host a Hackathon, a marathon in which young innovators will find answers to the problems posed by three major companies in the sector, Edilkamin, La Nordica Extraflame and Palazzetti.

But Progetto Fuoco is also attention to beauty and product design. Thanks to a partnership with the blog "Fire Observer | Danilo Premoli", dedicated to design and the world of fire, Progetto Fuoco will organise the "PRIZE X 2021" the design award for stoves and fireplaces, this year awarded both on the basis of votes by readers of the blog and the votes of a specialised jury of architects. The companies of Lignum - Distretto del Mobile di Verona, each with its own space, will characterise the stoves that win the award by proposing, for each of them, a setting designed to enhance the characteristics and aesthetic values of the product.

Finally, the outdoor area will also host "Progetto Bosco", the themed area dedicated to forests and forestry mechanisation. The main manufacturers and the world's most famous brands will present the most advanced technologies available on the market today.
