Gas bill too expensive? It’s time to switch to biomass!

Il caro bollette è l’incentivo migliore per investire

The cold weather has definitely arrived in homes and with it the dreaded expensive bills. In addition, a number of factors have contributed to skyrocketing gas prices this year.

This situation, which is dramatic for many people, can however be the decisive input to find alternative solutions such as biomass for heating homes without gas. To understand the dimensions of this phenomenon, it is enough to consider that almost one family out of five in Italy has chosen to invest in biomass, thus obtaining tangible benefits in terms of savings but also of pollution.

A system for the whole house can start from 5 thousand euros, but the savings on the bill is 30% compared to gas and diesel.

Biomass boilers, which are fuelled by organic fuels (pellets or other types of wood waste) are a good solution for heating water to be used for domestic space heating.

In addition to the possibility of exploiting renewable sources, a pellet system generally guarantees consumption of about 25-30% less than a condensing boiler, while with a wood-fired boiler savings peaks of up to 50-60% are reached.

Although the design of the biomass boiler is rather bulky, and therefore a dedicated utility room should be dedicated to it, in the long run savings are guaranteed.

By now, many people are familiar with traditional pellet stoves, but not everyone knows that ducted pellet stoves are an excellent alternative for heating homes without gas.

The latter, in fact, are equipped with one or more air outlets that can be conveyed to other rooms, even on different floors of the house, through ducts on the wall.

The ducted pellet stove is therefore ideal if you need to heat two or more rooms and if you only want to use one generator. When a certain temperature is reached, the fans in the stove are activated and force the hot air along the pipes and, from there, out through the vents installed on the wall.

With such a stove, you can ensure that your home has an alternative heating system that uses the calorific value of pellets and their convenience to warm air in several rooms of the house.
